The 1-Month On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program at Prin. B. V. Bhide Foundation offers students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience and explore interdisciplinary areas of life sciences. Participants can select any 4 modules from the list below, allowing them to build customized skillsets relevant to their academic and career goals.
Microbiology
Learn aseptic techniques, media preparation, microbial culture handling, and methods of isolation and identification. This module lays the foundation for careers in microbiology, diagnostics, food safety, and industrial biotechnology.
Molecular Biology
Gain practical exposure to DNA/RNA isolation, PCR amplification, gel electrophoresis, and basic molecular techniques. These skills are vital for research in genetics, biotechnology, and medical diagnostics.
Chronobiology
Explore biological rhythms, circadian cycles, and time-based regulation of physiological processes. Hands-on experiments and data analysis will help you understand the role of timing in biology and health sciences.
Plant Tissue Culture
Work with in vitro techniques such as sterilization, callus induction, and micropropagation. This module introduces applications in crop improvement, plant conservation, and agricultural biotechnology.
Analytical Chemistry
Train in spectrophotometry, chromatography, and related analytical methods. Students will learn how to quantify and analyze biological and chemical samples with accuracy and reliability.
Scientific Writing
Develop the ability to prepare structured research papers, project reports, and proposals. Emphasis is placed on clarity, data presentation, and proper citation styles to meet academic and professional standards.
